I've barely had much sleep the past week. Even on weekends I dont get much rest but I guess this week was a pretty meaningfull one. I managed to catch up with some people, and just get to know them more, share stories and thoughts. I've been having a rough time coping with some things and in all honesty, I've been quite confused over the past month.

I really dont know where some things are going but I thank the friends who slapped some sense into me. Even at church today, I got another kind reminder. Oh and today...today was a well spent Sunday! I seldom do much on Sunday because I sleep in, then attend service at like 4pm and realise that I wasted my entire day. I woke up for the early service today despite coaxing a 'depressed' friend til like 5am in the morning and it was really worth it.

After service I went to Benson's place. I was a little bit bored because his gf was there sick in bed and of course he had to look after her. So I entertained myself with a copy of this months TEENAGE magazine. Rofl, that magazine is sooo trash but its great entertainment because all the articles are hilarious.

About an hr later, he suggested that we bring the dogs out for a walk (but actually in the end, the dogs were so full of energy they took us for a walk). Taking the dogs out was sooo fun!!! =) They're so shy and yet majestic! As they walk past houses with dogs barking at them the huskies speed up and run away! I couldnt help myself but burst out laughing when I passed by a house. It had a huge (and i mean HUGE) banner on its gate. It said DOGS ON GUARD. So I prepared myself for a ferocious rottweiler or those big ugly dogs which are so mean to come snarling at the gate. Then out came this dog, barking like mad but it was such a tiny scottish terrier lol! Astro, the dog I was walking, simply ignored it and peed on the tree outside the house and walked off hehe. Oh well, thats all the exciting news for today here are a few shots I managed to sneak in =)

Evir and Astro

SIT!!!!!...OEI SIT LAHHHH!!!...good dog =)

Arent THEY sooooo adorable!!! ;) Kekeke...im shameless lol

{When - Wednesday, January 24, 2007}

When you just cant get it out of you head
When you wish you had no memory instead
When you just want to cry out in tears
When reality plays out all of your fears
When you let the chance slip long ago
When what to do you no longer know
When you try in vain to open a new door
When you're not ready for what's in store
When you think the world has turned its back on you
I'll be there by your side to comfort, because I'm dying too

{Common Courtesy - Friday, January 12, 2007}

I still remember a couple of weeks ago on Christmas eve, I was out with Jo going to the McDonald outside Lido to get a drink. Needless to say it was packed. As I carefully weaved through the chairs of people, saying sorry to the people I invconvenienced, I came to a stop at a point where a guy sitting with his chair out, blocking the way refused to move and pretended to not see me move in. I tapped him gently and said, "excuse me, could you please move?"and then he pointed his fingers at the space between him and the table as if he was trying to tell me that there was no more space to move.

Somewhat stunned, I stood there and looked on at his family and then he decided to buldge. As we sat down at the table next to them, I heard his grouchy looking wife say loudly, "It's for people like these, Singapore needs to have courtesy campaigns."

yeah, for people like you

In the past, when I was more tempermental and less accepting, I would have made a scene right there but for godness sake, it was Christmas!

just hold back Cheng...just hold back

The next thing I knew, I was laughing about it as Jo, who seemed more disturbed by it than me say, "I hope you aren't upset, there is a reason why a whole family is celebrating their Christmas at McDonalds..."

Courtesy campaigns. Lol

Where is it when you really need it? Today was quite fantastic, I'll just skip the MRT yellow box thing because, if you havent heard, experienced it or read about it on Chris's blog, you're certainly not taking enough public transport. Anyway, after taking the train to Plaza Singapura to meet my sis for dinner. I tried to take the lift up. I smacked the lift button, as I thought about the Crystal Jade meal which awaited me, the lift doors opened!

Awwww crap, it was packed! So being a nice guy, I stood at the side and let the people get out. After they got off the lift, instantaneously, this guy grabbed his girlfriends hand and relocated from the side of the lift to occupy the now vacant space right infront of the doors, blocking my entry. On his right, another person, impatiently jamming the button which looks something like this...
Win liao lor! I can almost hear Take the next lift, sucker!!! as the doors closed right in my face. Those of you with bf/gf dont laugh. Spare a thought for the people who want to get in k?! Afterall, its a win win situation- Not only can others enter the lift, you two will get an extra chance to squeeze with one another. SEE!!! Its win win.... ;)

{25, 060107 - Sunday, January 07, 2007}

I used to look forward to birthdays but some how this year, I just didnt feel like celebrating it. I just wanted to stay at home just like how I did on most of the days we had off due to Christmas and New Year. I guess in the end Chris managed persuaded me to do something and in the end we all met up for dinner and some drinks at the Clinic (its at the Cannery aka. Clarke Quay).

I really thank everyone for coming especially all those who had cleared their precious Saturday days in advance just for me. I also thank TJ who actually cleared the heaps of work he had to do but rushed to finish to make it in the end. I hate to say this, maybe I've been naive, but I've realised that knowing how much sacrifice friends take is touching as is knowing how much sacrifice you take for friends who dont reciprocate dissapointing.

So as I say a very big THANK YOU, know that I mean it from the bottom of my heart =)

For ages I havent posted any pics...here are some now!

Cake after the dinner at HVM. Poor candle looks so lonely =/

Cutting the yummy cake

Chung (Good ol' JC bro) and Roger

Alfred tries to hide from the camera but I got him anyway! Haha! Caught him again! Caught Chis too hehe!

Mew!

Wooooo Raoul cufflinks for work!

Then we headed to the Cannery

I just finished up a drink which Steven (the manager) gave me. He also gave us fried baby squids and heaps of pistachios! Lol Tj goes there so often he knows all the staff..including the nurses!

They gave me a waterfall and it tasted horrid!!!

Had to go out for a walk and fresh air because it really didnt go down well =( then I saw these lovely dogs!!!

Nurse Steph (we know her from Trinity College/Uwa perth) and TJ (a very happy one).

All smiles- the only curve which makes things striaght.

{Drive Properly Leh - Monday, January 01, 2007}

Almost got into a car accident today because Singaporeans really cannot drive properly, not to mention they have no courtesy on the roads at all. Some idiot driving a Lancer tried to switch lanes without checking his blindspot and almost sandwiched me in between. Thank God, I was able to swerve off, speed up and gave him a good horn.

What's funny is this incident just happened seconds after I made a turn and another car on my right started to cross into my lane in the middle of a traffic intersection. He almost hit my bummy! Moron didnt even bother to signal too.

Now I know why they say, "They shouldnt let Singapore people drive car. Because to let a Singaporean drive a car is like letting a monkey fly a plane."

Geez im pissed and cant wait to get back onto the Australian roads...
