It's been awhile since I've played any board games and today we did just that. There were about 16 of us who gathered at a friend's place for her birthday. We played a game called Articulate. It's sorta like a cross between Taboo and Pictionary. Had 4 teams of 4 and we played it for almost three hours and we had soooo much fun! Of course it also was satisfying when my once second of brilliance *gasp* broke the three way tie to win the game =). Then again, my desire to win is no longer as strong as it used to be in the past. No point being so engrossed with trying to win and missing out on all the fun moments which you end up turning a blind eye on.

As we played, it made me think back to the days when Roy and I shared a lodge at Trinity and everyone would come over on Fridays. We would cook dinner, play board games like Cranium and Taboo, have drinking parties or watch movies. But as exams came near, we started cutting down and even after they ended, we never started it again. As we start going our own ways, I hope that we'll just hang out a bit more before everyone leaves. I'll try to plan one soon, so keep your calenders open =)
