{Bright Day - Monday, September 26, 2005}

After a couple of days of standing and talking to customers, I finally get a big break (only to work again tomorrow...bleh). Anyway, no complaints at all because I've finally got the chance to go down to the beach for some warm sun- one which was greatly missed during the winter period. I'll definitely be going more often now that spring is here and the weather is just fantastic.

The dinner I had today was just icing on the cake. Awesome stuff! Anyway, I've been trying to spend the past 20 minutes or so trying to upload a picture onto blogspot for the day but it's not coming out for some weird reason. So I'm not going to bother with it lol....now time to go do some laundry and iron my clothes for work tomorrow.

{3 Days Work... - Sunday, September 25, 2005}

Past 3 days, I've been selling 3 handphones. On Friday, spent the morning attending a 3G (mobile phone company) sales meeting and for the rest of the day, I was in the business districts going from firm to firm watching my supervisor promoting mobile plans. Saturday and Sunday we went down to a market place in Malaga and set up a 3 booth from roughly 9am-5pm.
It definitely has been tiring talking to everyone who walks by and explaining plans to everyone. Standing up for 8 hrs straight didn't help much either. Managed to sell a couple of phones though and the commission is decent so it all pays out well i guess...
A nearby fruit stall at the marketplace..

Lunch: Strawberries and chips

Some pretty delicious hot chocolate...the funny part was, I went to their store so often, they came over to serve drinks and started to ask about plans which we could offer them. They are very intrested and want to close a landline deal with them for some big $$ =)

{Chocolate Overload - Tuesday, September 20, 2005}

I've been having this crazy chocolate frenzy lately. Everything I put down my throat is of chocolate. Tim tams, Rocky roads, hot chocolate, chocolate ice-cream, crunchie bars, the list is endless. Today, one more was added to the list when we went to watch Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in Carousel. I know, this is long due but over the past weeks, with the exams, job training and my sister coming over for holiday, I never could quite find time, or company, on a Tuesday to catch the movie.

I loved it-just like my love for chocolate. The fantasy world was deliciously crafted, glazed with witty and more importantly, or should I say most importantly, the theme of family togetherness wrapped it all up.

I am deeply touched (deeply moved) when I see love and loyalty so strong amidst troubled times-one which live through stormy weathers. The show did just that. It told a story about Willy Wonka (not to be confused with Wanka-cause the words willy and wanka would be a grammatical redundancy), who wanted to give his factory to a boy, but instead, Mr Willy was given a lesson on love in the process.

Anyway, just my 2 cents. Take another $7.48 and get urself a ticket to watch the show if u haven't. I'll have fun. Laters!

Not quite the golden ticket, but this would do =)

I know, I've been bloody lazy. Haven't updated my blog in a week. Bleh. Anyway, past week was awesome. Sister came to perth for her 1 week break 'holiday'. She was around for 4 days so I tried to make her stay as enjoyable as possible-which isnt hard considering that all i needed to do was bring her to a casino or a shopping mall. Lol.

I Managed to win some money from Burswood too. Got owned in blackjack on casino trip day 1, but after doing some thinking thru and research on pro-blackjack tips, came back on the second and thrid day with a vengeance and won some money. Woot! Then again, maybe i was luckier on the second day...who knows?

I had a pretty good week overall. Perfect Pairs mate, perfect pairs...

{THIS SHIT IS DRIVING ME NUTS - Monday, September 12, 2005}

Failed my bloody driving test today with an 'immediate failure' stop from the tester just as I was about to break when I saw an on-coming car. The tester, Paul, was pretty straight to the point(a.k.a 'frank') about it. The moment I made that mistake, I found myself driving back to the licensing centre-the test was over. The funny part was that I was wearing a Paul Frank T-shirt. What a coincidence lol. Anyway, we all make mistakes and fail once in awhile. So as much as I am dissapointed with myself just gotta keep reminding myself that failure is success if we learn from it.

I bet that drove him bananas

*Sigh* oh well...gotta throw more money down the drain, as well as another 4 weeks of waiting. Just finished my International Trade mid-sem and we're down to the final hurdle of the Banking: Theory and Pratice (BTP) paper at 6.30pm. After which I can start planning an itinerary for my sister's 4 day visit to Perth.

{SACK SVEN!!! - Thursday, September 08, 2005}

'Hmmmm now where did i put my car keys....'

I've never really sided any team for World Cup Competitions but I have always liked many of the players in the England squad cauz of their affiliation to Man U. So while I sometimes hide in denial, I really do hope England fares well. Having some of the most talented defencers like Ferdinand, Terry and Neville and offencers like Rooney and Beckham, there really is no excuse for a loss to N.Ireland because Owen was in the starting lineup.

I say SACK HIM! Him sharing the same first name as a Dota character and last name which sounds like a handphone is by means no reason for him to stay on as manager! They say 'failure is success only when you learn from it'. It's time to learn from it. England is NOT going to win anything with him ard yeah? Time for change. Time for study. Im outa here. BLEH

{Vat I Zu In Voring Zectures - Wednesday, September 07, 2005}

James Blunt's album. Call me an emo-freak but I think its fantastic. The You're Beautiful song is probably overplayed on radio and stuff but the rest of the tracks like Tears and Rain and Cry are just painfully sweet.

{A Job To Do - Thursday, September 01, 2005}

Spend Sunday afternoon doing a sweeping job for an office renovation. Pay was alright- AUD$15 per hour. Freddy and I swept the floor for 4 hours and the simplicity of the job was so monotonous, was good in a way. For one, it gave me time to do some self-reflection and think through things which I usually brush buy casually and give it a deeper analysis. It also made me realize the value of money. Money is so easy to spend-especially if you are not the one earning it.

More importantly, nobody wants to be a sweeper for the rest of their life- or work a job which pays poorly or has no status. I recall reading in Maxim that about 70% of women are willing to pass on a guy who has a job of poor status. No guy wants that happening to them either.

While sweeping the floor, I recall words which Jun had said to me the night before and how her dad is strongly against her taking up a temp job. No, it's not because he's afraid that she would not be able to balance both because she's definitely capable of that. So what was the reason? She said that her dad told her, "You were born into this world not to serve people. It was for people to serve you."

I hope that some day I could say words like that to my kid. So how? Study hard lor... Exams are round the corner, while studying hard to excel in my work may not guarantee a lucrative career, it definitely boosts the chance doesn't it? So I guess it'd be something to keep in mind as I slog thru the night. =)
