This post goes out to birthday boy TJ a.k.a Tan Thiam 'Feeder' Joo (called by dota players) or T 'motherload' J (called by the angmohs). We all celebrated his birthday with a bbq at Applecross on Sat. With vibrant winds, warm sun and tasty sizzling food, what possibly could go wrong?!
Anyway, we had a hellva time. Fun stuff.




The bbq pit we had was fantastic. A lil bit windy where we were at, but then again check out the view we had...

And the company was great....

There was plenty of food...














And argubly too much drink...

There was no need to fight over it all...












Or sneakily steal drinks for oneself...

Just needed to sit back relax, chill in the sun...

and enjoy the food.

Anyway, everyone had a good time though and that's what counts =). Happy birthday bro. May ur wishe(s) come true! ^_^

I was in the uni toilet and i thought the vandalism on this dryer was hilarious even though it was rude in a way...lol(in blue ink) someone wrote: PLACE YOUR HANDS HERE FOR AN ARTS DEGREE, and had an arrow pointed to the nozzle. Very very low joke which is shockingly funny...to a non-arts student of course.

and we're one week closer to the 2 week break, one week closer the the midsems, one week closer to the finals and one week closer to going back to going back for holidays. Anyway, had an awesome weekend going down to Garden City for a crazy 8-hr sale and a had a fantastic time at a massive restraunt-pub-brewery which served their home brew.

Also managed to play lots of basketball this week-which is awesome especially now that everyone's skill have improved so much and the games are much more enjoyable. Only thing which really sucks is the mosquitoes which come up when the sky goes dark. So, if you're not running about or sitting down watching, you become mosquito feed. It's not funny. The mosquitoes here are huge. Sometimes u can mistake them for a housefly. The bites the leave behind itch like a bitch and a day or two later, it becomes a massive red mark the size of a 20 cent coin.

So there it all went and we're back at Monday....frigging fire drill at 6.30am. Anyway, its time for *Work work*! I've got so much to catch up on BLEH =(

It was another rainy day- one which the needling rain drops fell mercilessly and stung my skin, as if they wanted to remind me how painful life could be. I walked past ripple-filled puddles which mirrored looming trees and the gloomy, overcast sky.

Somehow it was strange how the weather seemed to be refecting my mood, or then again, was it merely adding insult to injury? It sucks. Running to class in the pouring rain and reaching class drenched, sucks. I struggle to write on my foolscap paper because little droplets of water, or even sweat, kept dripping down from the tip of my face, landing on my writings and turning into blotches of blue. I hate rainy days.

As I walked back home from my last lesson, I realised that as much as I hate rainy days, I shouldn't because today, I've realised one thing. They say 'in the darkest hour, we are able to see who are true friends are' and similarly, on rainy days, do we see who is really sincere and who really cares.

I remember running down the underpass on my way to class and bumped into Shups (on her way back from uni) who offered me her umbrella. I declined. Had I taken it, wouldn't she be walking back in the rain? It doesn't matter if she was almost home, a simple jesture like is very comforting.

I continued running, and into a giggling voice which said 'enjoy running in the rain'. It wasn't said in a sarcastic manner, but one which was friendly and encouraging. I looked up, and saw a stranger smiling at me. I smiled back at her, said thanks and hurried off to class.

So I ask myself, would all this happen had the day been sunny? Do we see who truly care for us when everything is going smoothly? Maybe, maybe not. So when i heard that the weather forcast predicts we're going to have one full day of rain again tmr, while I really hope it doesnt, I'd be cool with it. Rain will make the flowers grow.

It's been quite awhile since I last went to Fremantle (aka Freo for short...) and it really is quite a pretty suburb in Perth. There are many funky shops, cosy cafes and well, the atmosphere is just different. It was another gelid and dank afternoon but warm smiles and food was extremely comforting.

Should have put up National Day celebration pix (think lots of red), but havent quite got my hands on them yet. Sooo I'll entertain you with the more recent Mambo Red Pix! The once-a-semester clubbing event held by the Singaporean societies in Perth was a blast. Never enjoyed Mambo events as much as this one...

I know. It sounds wierd but we were having a Christmas in August formal dinner@ college. So basically we had frolicking elves, walking reindeers and not to mention Christmas carols which were extremely horribly sung. Imagine 300+ students, some of which already had too much beer or wine to drink trying to sing Silent Night...Wikid!

These pix were from our gelere trip last tues (waffles half price). Most of us were down with a sore throat, bad cough, runny nose or whatever symptoms which come with a viral infection. Having phlegm in ur spit? Have a banana split. Having the sniffles? Have some ice-cream and waffles. Feeling sick everywhere u go? Have some chocolate chip cookie dough! Anyway, thx to freddy for his shots =)

It really blows when you blow ur nose and when u look at it you wonder if that stuff came out of ur nose or did someone accidentally spilt yellow highligter refill-fluids over ur tissue box. Maybe I blew so hard that I blew out brain fluid or something. UUurgh. It's on days like these, I wish I had listened to my parents and got more rest, had more vitamins, fruits, drank more water blah blah blah.

Well ok, I'll look on the bright side, at least im not running a fever or soar throat. That's good cauz it means I still can eat chocolate, ice-cream and drink alcohol which is what I've been doing over the past few days. Yummy. Yesterday made another attempt to make pancakes without buying an instant mix from the supermarket. Couple of friends had a ball trying to make pancakes, crepes and loading it with heaps of toppings while watching dvds...

Anyway, nuff bloggin' going to get back to my work and try to gear up for (hopefully) an exciting week ahead.
