{Funky Friday - Saturday, July 30, 2005}

Prolly Friday was my highlight of my week. Started off by earning myself the easiest 25 bux I have ever earned. The Australian Airforce was conducting surveys about people and taking laser scans about their body height, weight, build etc and were giving each person 25 bux for participating (which I did last week). Basically all I had to do is strip down to undies and let them do some measurements and laser scan me. The whole process took me half an hr and I think the walk to the Human Movement building at the far end of Uni was more troublesome than anything else they conducted. All I had to do was stand still and I get 25 bux.... yeah!!!

Anyway... I do hope are not reading this page on a full stomach incase u get grossed out and vomit everything out because I decided to put up the laser scan picture which they gave me at the end of the survey hehehehe...
SMILE: its the only curve which makes things straight! If u know what i mean....

Anyway, after that I had driving lessons which went smoothly and my instructor thinks I'm pretty much ready for my test. So its all smiles(as seen from the image above).

After driving, I bowling with a couple of good friends. It was awesome. It's been ages since I last went bowling and as usual, I was throwing balls down the gutter *sigh*... Anyway, here are some pix I got...I'll update more when I steal pix from freddy's camera =)

It was damn fun esp when they turned off the lights so things glowed in the dark. It gave me a better excuse for bowling badly.

OMG at the intense look on TJ's face. It has the words 'spare no one written all over it'...

After bowling, we had dinner and a movie marathon of 3 movies Ali, Constantine and The Exocist until everyone either left to sleep or fell a sleep on the couch or floor. Not a pretty sight, or sound if you get my drift...*snore* *snore*

ZZZzzzzZzzzzzzzzz.....

{Cutting the story short... - Tuesday, July 26, 2005}

Like every fable, there are truths and made up parts. I'll leave that for the reader to decide.

Freddy and I making faces at Utopia (bubble tea place)...

... as Jun looks at the footprints on the ceiling. She's prolly saying to herself...

...Lol!lerskates!!! Ally gets around on wheels (outside club x??!)...

.... hehehe, i get around on wheels too! Then again, if they pushed me down the stairs in that thing, i could move around in a wheel chair for the rest of my life :O

Things not to do in a shopping mall; but its ok if its outside and no one is looking...

...But if security comes, just smile and walk away as if nothing happened.

{Winter Warmth - Saturday, July 23, 2005}

Just held a house-warming' party with Roy on Saturday. It's winter here. It's cold. But a couple of alcohol shots, heaters and lots of friends can overcome that easy and it was exactly what we did. Pfft... And they say Perth is boring well, maybe their television programs are. With the right company, a fantastic time is always granted thou!

Anyway, I'm gonna share some random pix...

We played some boardgames-Cranium (below) and Taboo (above). Damn fun games lah!!!! AND Loser drinks. Nuff said.

Some of the alcohol on the table and shitloads of beer (Hoegarden, Kilkenny, Heineken etc) in the fridge.

Heelowwww Xinyi~ Hehe a lil thanks for all the trouble u go thru to get me my stuff =)

{Petstore@subi - Saturday, July 16, 2005}

As promised, some pictures from whats been going on the past week (not in time order).
On Thursdays, subburbs close late. So Tj, Jun and I were just wandering around after buying groceries to cook for dinner n also fixin my watch which died on me (it ran out of batteries). Had a cuppa, window shopped abit and went into this cool petstore where there were lots of pretty birds. Not birds as the british bad-manner slang for the word 'girl' but actual flying, chirping birds-like the one in the picture above, except that one cannot fly. The store had fishies too. Was thinking of keeping some in my room on my table or something.

Took this photo while in Tj's heavily modded RX-7 (which still loses to a bmw 5 series but faster than a WRX) and we were driving along Hampden Rd. Low and behold, someone walking the ginormous dog crosses the road. I think its the biggest dog ive ever seen.

Here's a picture i took while we were waiting to get into the track. Even though it costs like 17 bux for 10 min, it was awesome stuff. Gotta go again soon!

Was walking back from uni and saw this cute lil baby girl playing on the grass patch. I realise that while she's just a tiny thing on this earth, I myself, am no bigger. Sometimes we have to look at the small things to realise the big i guess....

{Enjoying the Holis - Friday, July 08, 2005}

I've been taking things slow this holidays. Chilling out with friends and watching lots of movies (as usual). Speaking of which, the latest movie which I watched was The Longest Yard which stars Adam Sandler. Hella funny show and highly entertaining. I love watching team-sports movies. Makes me wanna play basketball so bad. To bad its like 10 deg outside and stuff and even worse, pretty much no one is staying around in college =/

Also I have been trying to finish up on my remaining few driving lessons so I can take my driving test asap and pass of course. I don't want to fail it over and over...Like 7 times or more hehehehe I shallnt mention any names =P. Gotta think BMW, not BMX.

Also, since I've moved into my friend's place, I've been trying to brush up on my cooking. While my holidays have not been as exciting as my sisters (u can read her really fascinating stuff @ http://linxinyi.blogspot.com/ or look at the link on the right sidebar of my blog), mine has been exciting in its own ways for I've been doing things which I usually don't. For one, I've played UNO twice already and I have not done that in ages!!! How fun hehee..especially when the loser drinks =P.

Anyway, gonna hit a game of dota and hit the sack cauz tmr I'll have another driving lesson and will be going go-carting after!!!~TaTA!

{Losing Faith - Saturday, July 02, 2005}

I was going to start out with a chirpy entry covering the stuff which happened this week. It was to an extent a fun and full one. I love what I did to my hair and also the new stuff I have bought. But seconds ago, I just tried to log onto my warcarft and here is see some faggot using my CD key and is already in battle net. Hence I am unable to log on. At this instance, moments of life flash by my eyes and I question myself. Why the fuck do the nice people always lose out? Why does helping others always end up with your own self sacrifice and pain?

I wanna get things straight. This has nothing to do with me being a warcraft pro-gamer; for that was a thing of the past. I don't care about the game. I've played 45 mintues of it in the spread of one week. I am far too busy to keep up with it now. So what pisses me off is NOT not being able to log on but because of the morality of a person (or people) involved. This branches out to more than just the game. We are looking at life, and people in the world, their actions, as a much larger perspective now. So you must be thinking how the hell does not being able to enter Battle.net to play a game tie up with my feelings now. So I'm going to explain. I have let some people install warcraft just to play the single player mode because they ask me nicely in a sort of begging and pathetic kind of way. Being a friend, I naturally will agree to help. During the installation, they will need to use my CD keys in order for it to work. I firmly specify that they shall NOT enter battle net servers and they agree. Low and behold. When I try to access my warcraft, I CANT BECAUSE SOMEONE USING MY CD KEY IS ALREADY IN BATTLE.NET. Of course maybe someone actually hacked my computer with a trojan backdoor virus to get the cd key or maybe Blizzard ACCIDENTALLY sold 2 copies with the same CD key- but what are the probabilities of that?!!Moral of the story? Don't lend out you stuff. Don't be nice because in the end, people are going to use it against you.

What's the use of being nice if the person you lend a 'friend' 70 miserable dollars to to save his ass from missing his flight and having to go thru deserts and moutains to get that money back? Or will I get it back at all?

What's the use of being nice and lending out stuff when it come back broken? Or not having it come back at all?

What's the use of giving a beggar a couple of dollars at the hawker centre and mintues later walking around seeing him drinking from a tiger bottle?

What use is it being a nice guy when the girl you love prefers someone else who doesnt give a shit about her? Or drinks, cheats on her, takes drugs, lies to her or bets his life away?

Last night I was watching Van Helsing and a quote really caught my attention. One so similar to the one i put up only a week ago. Remember 'Do unto others as you would like them to do unto you'? Well, last night when Igor was talking to Dracula and torturing a beast..he said "DO UNTO OTHERS BEFORE THEY DO UNTO YOU". Somehow, it was funny and I so could relate to those words.

On the other hand, I know that being kind is almost always welcome. You live life with a clear mind and I am sure that there are occasions which kindness pays off.... But now, Im blinded and drawn by the lunatic calm of the darkness....

I'm fighting a war but only in vain. Can the path to the dark side ease my pain?Posted by Picasa
